Huh, did anyone know there was a limit on how many Llama badges you can send?

There were problems with your submission:

    * Couldn't give that badge, since you've hit the rate limiter.

I've been scrambling to get as many out as I can to quick get to 10k since I finished the paper llamas (plus I'm only 800 away ). I don't know if it's per hour, day, or what, I just got this a few minutes ago (for the first time, I might add). Anyone else have this problem?

Waited about half an hour (5:50 to 6:25) and I'm able to send again, so... only so many per hour?

I'm getting a different error message now:

I don't seem to be getting the original message at all, so this must have replaced it to better explain the problem.

I've been slowly but surely grinding through the list of llamas to be made. At this point, I've done the Regular Llama, the Albino Llama, the Golden Llama, the Rainbow Llama, and the Super Cape, so technically 6 ranks are done. Oh, and I quick did the bowtie too.

Also, boo, my laptop broke 2 days ago, but yaay, I got it fixed today! Better explanation after the link.

Also also, has anyone else been unable to give llamas? I can't seem to get the "Give" menu to load in Firefox or IE...

I just realized the reason I had seen such a small response to my newest project: I posted the WIP deviation to my scrapbook. Watchers won't get an alert when a person posts a "scrap" deviation unless they specifically check off to receive an alert in their friends' settings.

The planned Brütal Legend models (see previous post) are still on hold; I've had no luck in extracting meshes and I just don't feel I could do them justice trying to design and texture them from scratch.

If I can find a way to rip meshes and textures from it, would anyone be interested in seeing a Brütal Legend model? I was thinking about doing a scale of The Deuce (Eddy's hot-rod), or maybe a life-size of his axe (the literal axe, not the guitar)

... Just realized that with dA's new layout, the download file button has switched sides, so my old thumbnails for the PDF's with the message

are no longer correct. So... I spent a good bit of time going through re-creating the thumbnails and updating each one...

Done! Finally! I've been working on this model for over a month now, doing little bits whenever I had time. Finals ended for me last Saturday, so this past week has been a great chance to finally finish it.

You know, I was going to go get a long-sleeved white shirt and put big red paint splatters all around the neck-hole and sleeves for this picture, but I didn't want to have to deal with the mess since I'm moving out of my apartment in like 2 days, and I just really wanted to get this up today. Oh well, maybe later.

Made an attempt at a stream last night with... minimal success. LiveStream doesn't seem to like my webcam too much, or maybe it's vice versa, all I know is that it would only work for a minute or so before LiveStream would boot me off with various error messages. Camera's not even that old, only a year; granted it's not a fancy model or anything, just a basic Logitech one, but still. I'll try again tonight.

On the plus side though, I did finish the first leg.

Now that my senior design project presentation is over with, I may actually have some free time to start building the headcrab. For those that don't know, I am, with permission from , making an attempt to resurrect his wear-able Headcrab mask, with the exception of using a Half-Life 2 model instead of Half-Life 1 . I was thinking of setting up a web-cast on LiveStream (inspired by , who is awesome at paper children and all things cartooney) when I get to the point of assembly. This will probably be mostly at night (EST), so would anyone be interested in something like that? I can't actually make a poll since I don't have a dA subscription (which I DON'T need, despite the "Needs Premium Membership" notification), so just comment what you think and I'll update the "poll" below as necessary!

If you hadn't noticed, I got a bit bored a little while ago and decided to make a little difficulty scale for each of my models, rating each from 1 to 5:

Right now, they're based on my own... somewhat biased experience building them, which is why I've made a little survey for people who have built (or at least attempted to build) one or more of my models, allowing them to rate their difficulty. I hope to get enough of a response to better adjust these little meters. ...let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?

Actually, if you count paper ones, technically I own three... but only one is a rifle and thus rack-capable!

But yea, YESSS DONEE! The Combat Shotgun is complete!

This model's been waiting on my To-Do list for... must have been close to a month now, what with the Home Sweet Home Sweet... one taking up a good week or so of my time... plus my laptop dying last week and general laziness, but yea.

I know! I'll make a death-clock! Not to be confused with Dethklok (Metalocalypse). I was reading some of the comments posted on this journal, and a scene from Futurama popped into my head where the professor's trying to come up with an idea for an invention... "Perhaps some sort of death clock..." (from the garbage ball episode). It's simple enough to be a quick model, and it made me laugh because I had just done the Dethphone!

I don't believe the read-out screen was ever displayed, so I'll just have to make something up
