Ok! This one takes a bit of explaining:

I've got all these little projects and stuff saved up from over the years in one massive folder on my desktop. While looking through some of it, I realized that I still had the original PSD image of this, (muuuch larger than this of course, 8181x10908), and thought to myself, "Self, you put so much time into this mess you call art, you might as well throw it up online with all the other trash you've got!"

So, here it is, in its magnificent 1500x2000 resolution glory.

The real story behind where all of these came from is pretty simple: 4 or 5 years ago in my 10 grade English class, I had an insane teacher that pretty much let us do whatever we wanted. In retrospect, we could have done so much more with our time, but as they say, hindsight is always 20/20. My friend and I sat near each other and had this weird little obsession with tacos. We'd sit there bored in class, and through one means or another, we began drawing little personified tacos, either as baseball players, super heroes, taco-items (canned taco, etc), and what have you. After a short while, he simply gave me suggestions of other people, themes, or whatever, to draw as tacos.

Well, by the end of the year, I had something like 250 of them, drawn all over my notes, handouts, even a couple tests and quizzes (because it's not like Mr. Barkin cared, or even noticed). Well, he had his own web server, and ran a little home business with one of his cousins selling cellphones, accessories, and things of that nature. He put aside a little space, and set me up an account where I could create an entire gallery of my little guys. Well, this went on for a while, and eventually I capped it off at 300 even (which wasn't planned, it just turned out to be a coincidence), where I had found myself a new hobby to occupy my time. It stayed up for a while, probably a year or so, until he ended his business and shut down the server.

Well, in the mean time, I had been toying around with the idea of putting them all together in one big collage, and having them so suddenly ripped from the internet, *gasp!* ;), I gave it a shot. The first couple tries didn't work out so well, mainly because I'd get half way through and realize that the image was too small to fit them all, or they weren't evenly spread, and looked really shitty, problems along those lines. But eventually, I managed to get it to work. This was all before Adobe came out with CS2, mind you, so no color replacement tool, and thus no color poster, for another year, but I still had a great looking B&W one.

When CS2 came out, I was messing around with a friend's copy of it, seeing what all it now had, and I saw the color replacement tool. Long story short, installed his copy (because I simply don't have $400 just lying around ;) ), and modd'ed the hell out of the B&W to get this wonderful little piece.

And that's all I have to say about that.

I think I still have a list of all of them here somewhere, maybe I'll post it if I can find it.
